Overview
Your Ourika Valley day trip from Marrakech starts with pickup from your hotel or riad. We drive south across the Haouz Plains and into the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains, just 60 km from the city.
Our first stop is a panoramic viewpoint where you can take photos and enjoy the open mountain scenery. Then we visit a Berber women’s argan oil cooperative, where you can watch how this famous oil is made by hand and learn about the women who produce it.
We continue to Setti Fatma along the Ourika River road, passing green fields and small Berber villages. A local guide walks with you to the Ourika waterfalls on a 1.5-hour hike with good views along the trail. If you prefer not to hike, you can relax by the river.
There are restaurants along the riverside in Setti Fatma where you can stop for lunch at your own cost. A typical meal costs around €10-12 and includes a starter, main course, and dessert. Vegetarian options are available at most places.
After lunch, we return to Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation in the late afternoon.
