Itinerary
Day 1 : Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
- Pick up from your Marrakech hotel early in the morning
- Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass
- Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah
- Have lunch in Ouarzazate, then drive through the Rose Valley
- Arrive in Boumalne Dades for dinner and overnight
Day 2 : Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
- Walk through the Dades Gorge rock formations after breakfast
- Visit Tinghir oasis and walk through its palm groves
- Walk through Todra Gorges, with cliffs up to 300 meters high
- Arrive in Merzouga and ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset
- Enjoy a Moroccan dinner and music around the campfire
Day 3 : Merzouga to Fes
- Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes
- Have breakfast at the camp, then head back to Merzouga
- Drive through the Ziz Valley, past palm groves and Berber villages
- Stop in Midelt for lunch, then cross the Middle Atlas Mountains
- Pass through Ifrane cedar forests, where you may see Barbary macaque monkeys
- Arrive in Fes in the early evening, drop off at your hotel
